Swinging inside/out

You CANNOT force the club inside/out. Just like my rants about “hold the lag,” they are results, not pursuits.

Results of forcing the club inside/out (swinging to right field).

Arm disconnect
Goat Humping
Flipping
Hip stall
Vertical shoulder turn
Horrible angle of attack
Etc.

Stay connected and keep the club in front of you on the backswing…shift your weight to initiate the downswing.

Viola…inside out swing path.

Obviously there are other variables that can throw a monkey wrench into things and prevent those things from happening, but if you do those things…inside/out path…which really isn’t inside/out at all if you look at it in three dimensions. ūüėÄ

Read my mind. I had this particular problem. The aha moment I had was that I wasn’t turning (backswing) properly which led to a severe out to in. By turning properly, I don’t have to force the in to out.

The less attention I pay to the club and my arms, the better I get.
