I Won by 7 Shots

The Tour Champions (Senior PGA Tour) Q school is next week. This week The PepsiTour held a two day tournament at the same course.

Conditions were tough. Lots of wind (2-3 club wind on day 1), nasty rough and soft greens that were fairly fast and very bumpy from all the foot prints.

Conditions the first day were brutal and I shot 69 when only 3 people in a field of 20 broke 75.

Second day was basically on cruise control, having a 5 shot lead with 9 to play. I had a 20 footer for eagle on 18 that I three putted to shoot 72. That is the issue I am facing.

Lack of focus at times…the biggest thing I need to be aware of next week and in the times to come.

I still have to clean things up, but I am almost starting to look like a pro golfer again.

The cliche, “A win is a win.”

Well, “A 7 shot win is a 7 shot win.”

It does not surprise me a bit. Your game has that in it and a lot more.
Keep focusing on what you need to do right and never think on what you do not to do wrong!
Everybody makes mistakes, it does not matter…
    Very happy for you.

How much different will the course be for Q school there? Rough higher greens faster? Obviously a confidence booster, but don’t get complacent. WRX is rooting for you since you’ve help most of us.
