The downswing is like a greyhound race

The rabbit starts ahead and never gets caught, but the dogs chase him.

It doesn’t matter if it’s a little chip or a long drive…the belly button is the rabbit and the greyhound is the right elbow.

You want the belly button chasing the target and the right elbow chasing the belly button…and the dog should never catch the rabbit.

Since we are talking about things you bet on, I am putting the over under of comments and emails asking for a video at 50.

You guys are like degenerate gamblers 😀

hey, pro. i sure would like to see a vid on this ! hehe 😉

agree 100% Monte , spot on. I don’t think people really know how much you have to work your core left on the shot. How the plane continues left and not straight to the target. My whole game improved tremendously especially from 100yds and in when I just thought from the top:

” Hit the ball with the belly button, turn the core hard left and keep the hands and arms passive”

If you have a nice athletic transition and get to your left side, just always think about turning hard left on plane with the core.

Hmmm. Great swing thought. Especially for us “stick hit ball” cavemen.
Speaking of caveman, this may be an opportunity for a guest student in a video. Maybe one in a bikini top with a belly button ring to help with the visual. Just a thought. 😉

You might want to be more specific in your request. I don’t really want to see Colt Knost in a bikini with a belly button ring…

  4. Bob

I think this concept really screams for a video….dogs, rabbits, goats……etc…

  5. Jay

Does the belly button and right elbow move at the same rate?

    • Monte Scheinblum

Good question. The right elbow has to move faster as it has farther to travel. As it pseeds up, so will the BB.
