When I was just learning 30 years ago, A really good chipper at my club gave me some advice and I think it will help many of you.
People always have trouble deciding what club to hit and here is a simple solution to use as a guide.
Use whatever club that a solid shot will land just on the green and roll to the pin. It sounds like an over simplification, but if you are struggling, try it. You will be surprised at the results.
Remember from other posts. When hitting these short chips, feet almost together a few inches apart. Stance slightly open and more weight on you left foot for a right handed golfer…which will help you…HIT DOWN ON THE BALL.
