I am not as bitter

as I have sounded lately or may sound this week.

Like I said a few days ago, I am frustrated for all of the golfers (including myself) who really want a simple approach, and want to have fun playing the game, but were sucked in by what is out there. Promises of perfect movements, longer drives and lower scores. Promises made by those who are SO SURE they have all the answers.

I do not have all the answers. I am looking for the simple answers, just like many of you. I have found a few along the way and I am searching for more.

As I find them, I will let you know. Until I can find where the answers are, I am going to continue to point out where I believe THEY ARE NOT.

I think it’s time for you to take credit for Dustin Johnson. He was “nothing” until you critiqued his swing.

For those who want to copy him, I thought I heard them say he could dunk a basketball…so what he does might not work for others.

I am trying not to be “bitter” as well in regards to the instruction I have received over the past 5 years. We started off “simple” and my game was rapidly improving. I dropped from a 9 something all the way dwon to a 4.7 handicap. Then, my instructor became “obsessed” with the perfect, biomechanically correct golf swing and foolishly, I followed him down that path. I began to have to practice 1000s of repetitions of minute moves in order to sit into my left glute properly or to get the exact right amount of “shoulder elevation” in the backswing, blah, blah, blah. My scores began to skyrocket and in fact I shot a “90” for the first time in years about 2 months ago.

Having said all of that, I am so glad I have found this site as Monte wants me to “Swing the club level to the ball” and HAVE FUN. That’s what I want to do too.

Well well………nice to have you here Greg . I was worried about you & Bob . And lots of others for that matter . “You know who” is quite a salesman isn’t he ? !!! …………….lol………..(he hates me)

I think you will enjoy it here. Monte is FULL of it in an absolutely wonderfull way . He is top notch .
Now if I can get ahold of Lisa & Hayes we’ll be set …………. & close to the old days………Monte is gonna take us to the other side,

One Mr. Hayes here. Our foursome is now complete.

I agree…….what a crock. I got “banned’ for resurrecting an old post about the simplicity of “Turn and Turn” and how well we were all playing with that simple thought. Got the big “DELETED” and banned.

        Monte is the man.

I literally was trying to track you down just this morning. How are you my friend???

Lisa is around here somewhere. She’s the one that told me about this site before Greg and Yuraway mentioned it. Hopefully Hayes chimes in. I missed you guys! I’d even give up my Budweiser 🙂

It’s been a really busy day for me, switching between the Olympics, the Daytona 500, and Pebble Beach, catching up on all of the blog and forum posts, and practicing the T, and I just rolled another 100 8 footers in 🙂
