I took on some swings of random people, now I am going to take on PGA Tour players past and present.
I am going to say exactly what I would say if said player asked me to be his eyes and ears.
You will quickly see I will completely avoid modern mechanical perfection and really pay attention to what makes each player good and come up with some nice subtle things to work on that I think make those players better.
I really want to get at Dustin Johnson for sure. I wouldn’t touch Bubba Watson’s basic move with a ten foot pole, but I have a couple of ideas on how he might achieve a bit more consistency.
I might also have to give Bobby Jones, Ben Hogan and Jack Nicklaus (the most efficient swing of all time, IMO) a little looksie.
I could have a few points to make on all of them, I might tear some of them apart…I might leave them completely alone.
I think I might do this for quite a while and get to as many players as possible. This will be fun as there will be many comments both praising my analysis…and calling me crazy.
I think it will cause quite a debate and it will be fun for all of us.
